Hello everyone, welcome to the Mattacritic. This is Matthew Hemenway. In this episode of the Mattacritic, I will do a short recap of Marvel’s Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 1 Episode 1 that is currently on Disney+. The first episode will start with Peter Parker waking up and he realizes he is running late to school. He will let his Aunt May know that he loves her and he rushes out the door. He misses the train, and he opens his backpack to find the oatmeal that she prepared. The viewer would believe that he is pulling his costume out to become Spider-Man. He does not have the costume. Aunt May has to pick him up and take him to school. Peter Parker is going to Midtown High School, and he hopes to learn about robotics. Uncle Ben is dead and this is not because of Peter Parker having his spider powers.

Peter Parker will get to school and there will be an attack by the Venom Symbiote. Doctor Strange will show up and must stop the Venom Symbiote. He will get help from Peter Parker who goes and stands up to the Venom Symbiote. Peter Parker was protecting none other than Nico Minoru. Why should that name sound familiar? She was in the Runaway series that was on Hulu and if you read the Runaway comics, she is the character that always has the gothic look. Peter Parker ends up fainting after being bitten by the spider. Spiders in real life can sting and some of them have venom that can be toxic to humans. This makes sense that Peter passes out. He ends up getting powers that are transferred to him thanks to the spider.

Peter Parker will become Spider-Man and end up later rescuing Harry Osborne from being beaten up by a bunch of criminals. He later will meet Lonny Lincoln who is the star quarterback and is a smart dude to say the least. Yes, this is the Lonny Lincoln who will become Tombstone. That is in the comics.
