Introduction

In this episode of the Mattacritic, I will be reviewing and analyzing Tiger Chair done by Max Brooks. Max Brooks is the author of the book called World War Z. I have not read that book of World War Z, but what I can tell from this story of Tiger Chair is that it shows a dark future, and it will be up to Americans to overthrow this occupation. I will have my analysis and input and give you, my rating. This book deals with a soldier in the Chinese Army and is wandering went wrong with the war in the United States. China invaded the United States West coast, and they end up getting resistance from an unlikely source, the Chinese who came to America before they invaded. I will explain my reasons why this is the case. This short story is a letter and not what you would expect it to be. This story is a parallel of what is happening right now in my country. It is a dark time, but there must be a path to victory. I will give you my rating at the end of this review. I hope this episode will inspire you to read, watch, and learn.

Rest of Review and Rating of Tiger Chair
As was stated before China successfully invaded the west coast of the United States, and they meet resistance from the American citizens. They are surprised by this, but it should not be. If democracy were to fall, there will be resistance from those who refuse to give up their rights. Rights that they have been used to having since they were born. You must fight for what you believe in, and this is what is happening in this story. The officer that writes this letter to his friend finds out that the Chinese government has gotten all this wrong. They thought it would be easy to get the Chinese that came to America before the invasion to cooperate with them, but they were wrong.
The man that writes this letter has a son and a wife. He tells his best friend what is happening in this letter. He knows how his men have been dying and wanders what the best course of action is. This story will show that he is conflicted.
The way this story is written is in a letter format. I have never read a story that is written in letter format. If I had, it would have been a while since I saw one that way. People may think this cannot happen here in the United States, but it can happen. Nazi Germany did invade France and France lost their democracy. It was not until the Allied powers stopped them. It was important for people to come together at that time since the world was threatened by Nazi Germany and their allies of Italy and Japan.
There are countries out there they would like to see the United States fall. They would be Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea. They would like to get rid of an enemy that has stood in their way if that were to happen.
This is exactly what is happening in this story of the Tiger Chair. It is unfortunate but it is. Democracy is not guaranteed; it takes people fighting for it for it to survive. The founding fathers fought for it; we must do the same. We must remember what our family members did to save our democracy. The Chinese have been the greatest resistance to China invading the United States. There is a film that talks about North Korea invading the Western part of the United States that starred Chris Hemsworth. It is called Red Dawn, and you can watch it on Amazon. The link to that is Red Dawn - Chris Hemsworth version This is where Chris Hemsworth plays Jed Eckert and will teach his brother Matt Eckert to cause chaos. To resist the invaders, you as the resistance must cause chaos to beat them. Jed Eckert is using chaos to help to beat these invaders. This is exactly what is happening in this story. The resisters are causing chaos in the Tiger Chair. Every time the Chinese army thinks they have an advantage; they find out they are wrong. This is what is happening here. The Chinese officer tells that to his friend.
Another thing they mentioned in this story of Tiger Chair is there is a new variation of COVID, and it is called COVID-31. Dr. Fauci mentioned that Covid would keep mutating as that is what viruses do. This story points out that will be the case. It is not surprising to me to say the least. When you have idiots in my state of NC wanting to implement a mask ban if there is another pandemic is idiotic at best. This tells me the GOP legislature wants to be nothing more than authoritarian assholes.
I will give you, my rating. I give Tiger Chair by Max Brooks, a 10 out of 10. It was fun, but it tells an important story and immensely powerful story as well. The story covers what will happen if the United States fell. The worst of it was on the west coast and people should read this story. You should also watch Red Dawn and that will help you understand what this story is telling. It is a great comparison to this book. To read this story, go on Amazon and read it. It is worth the read. The person writing the letter is conveying his frustration and will have a terrible decision to make. It is a powerful story and those who care about democracy should read this book. It will open your eyes to what can be possible.
