Hello everyone, Matthew Hemenway here. Have I got a video and blog post for you today. In this video and blog post, I will be reviewing and analyzing Star Wars Lego Special Summer Vacation that is currently on Disney+. I am good, I hope you are. I will go over several topics in this review. I will let you know my rating at the end of this video and blog post. Now on with the review.
The Special starts off the Finn telling Poe, Rey, Chewy, 3PO, R2D2, BB8, Rey, and Rose that there are going to have fun on this trip. Finn says this will be great as there will be no Stormtroopers shooting at us. Finn tells Poe there are plenty of activities to do. Poe says that is great. Poe is planning out their trip as that is what he does. Poe likes to be in control, that is why he is a pilot. The viewer thinks Oscar Isaac is doing the voice to Poe, but it is Jake Green. The voice of Finn is Omar Benson Miller not John Boyega. Omar is good, but he does not sound like John Boyega. Jake Green does an excellent job of sounding like Oscar Isaac. If I did not look on the credits to IMBD, I would not have guessed that it was not Oscar Issaac that was doing Poe’s voice.
Rey wants to read the Jedi text while she is on vacation. She told everyone, Rays, Relaxation, and reading. People said, how is that a vacation? It is if she is in the moment, and she is not getting stressed. The hologram of Lando is played by Billy Dee Williams. He is one of the only originals to play and not have it being done by other actors. Rey is voiced by Helen Saler, but she sounds close to Daisy Ridley.
3PO, R2D2 put on shirts that look remarkably like the Holiday special they did back after the first Star Wars. Yes, Anthony Daniels does voice C3PO. I am glad that got him to do the voice.
Finn first talks to Obi-Wan Kenobi and Obi-Wan told him to relax and have fun. Finn says you went on a vacation. Obi-Wan says I did, and he had fun. He broke in Jabba’s palace with a rebel spy as they had to steal something they needed to keep from being used as a weapon. Obi-Wan had to do this at Jabba’s birthday party. He broke in and he had to pretend to mingle. He had to create a distraction while the woman he was helping was stealing the weapon they needed to keep the Empire from getting. He had to sing and dance. Obi-Wan was having fun and it showed. He was getting everyone involved in the song that the woman stole the weapon that she needed to keep the Empire from having. Obi-Wan escaped with her while Boba Fett was chasing them. It ended up being an epic chase.
The second person Finn talks to is Anakin Skywalker next. He comes out in ghost form as Darth Vader out of the water. There is an Easter egg there in that the idea of Darth Vader came from a scuba diving outfit. The way the breathing apparatus that Darth Vader uses sounds exactly like a scuba divers mask and breathing apparatus. Anakin told the story where Darth Vader took the emperor on a vacation. They went to Scarab, which is an Easter Egg to Rogue One. That is the end battle of Rogue One. The emperor won the contest with Darth Vader as ruler of the beach. As Anakin told Finn, he was impossible as the emperor told Vader if you are doing what you love, that is all that matters.
The third and final person Finn talks to is Leia Organa. Finn says he has been spending more time with ghosts then he had with his friends. Leia tells Finn the story when Han, her, chewy, and Ben had an interesting vacation. Han went to the planet in Solo: A Star Wars story where he first met chewy. Leia told him it is where the Empire threw in there for Chewy to eat you. They later go to Endor which is the Easter egg to Return of the Jedi. Ben Solo later he must fly the falcon when it is going through debris of the second Death Star. Ben at first wished he were with Uncle Luke but is glad he went on the trip.
As not to reveal anymore, nothing more will be revealed here. It does bring the viewer to the climax of the Holdiay Lego Special.

I give Star Wars Lego Special Summer Vacation, a 10 out 10. It was fun, felt like Star Wars, and showed no matter who it is, everyone needs a vacation. It is good to take a break whether it is home, or somewhere else. It depends on what the person needs. When a person takes a vacation, it allows him/her to recharge and realize what is important. Finn realizes that, but I will not say what he says as I want you to tell me how he does in the comment section below.
