In this episode of the Mattacritic. I will be reviewing and analyzing Star Wars Andor Season 1 Episode 5 that is currently on Disney+ done by Lucasfilm. I will go over several topics in this episode. I will give you my rating at the end of this episode. Now on with the review.

The episode begins with where the last one left off with Cassian on Aldhani. Cassian Andor known as Clem is on Aldhani and Avrel Skeen that was with Vel are questioning his involvement. He is trying to figure out his involvement with the rebellion. This man is questioning why he is involved in this cause. One of the men give Clem milk to drink. He finds it disgusting and he tosses it out. There are different people with Cinta, Vel the leader, and an Imperial Lt. Who is deciding to fight this war. This man is similia to Tara in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series who worked for the Empire but decided she had enough of it.

Their plan is to break in the Imperial base at when the meteor shower will be showering the planet. Vel Sartha tells Clem this is what we are going to be doing. Clem tells her, I will be flying us out. It will be his ass on the line as he tells them. Cinta Kaz was the one who treated him.

One of the men is teaching Clem how to walk like a solider. He tells him, I need you walk like this. He understands that is what he needs to do. Cassian Andor tells him not to touch him as he says just tell me what you want me to do, and I will do it. He needs to walk with his shoulders back and walk with confidence.

Avrel Skeen who was questioning Clem/Cassian Andor found his necklace. It was the necklace that Luther Rael gave him. He said this thing is worth 30,000 credits. Cassian did not like him going through his stuff. I can understand that as I would have been frustrated at that to. It was unfortunate thing that happened. Cassian knows he must come clean and tells them he is getting paid. For the team to trust him, he knows he must tell them the truth. Vel also tells Cassian/Clem that the Lt. Gorn who works for the Empire was in love with a local woman murdered by the Empire. Vel tells him, we all have our own little rebellion.

Syril Khan who was after Cassian Andor and got the Morallana system occupied by the Empire is getting told by his mother that maybe you were not meant to be a police officer. He was the one that screwed up and made a mess. Syril thought he could get Cassian Andor very easily and he found out he was wrong. His mother when serving him also poured him blue milk on his cereal. This reminds me of the blue milk that was in Star Wars: A New Hope. It reminded me aunt Beru pouring it for Uncle Owen and giving it to Luke also. Syril’s mother tells him that she will call his uncle and you need not to slouch. She is right, your body language says a lot and it can make it so you will not do anything else.

Moth Momtha is dealing with her family. Her daughter Leida does not want to go with her. Her daughter tells her, this is about you feeding your ego. Moth Momtha tells them both, thank you for your support. She feels alone here.

Luther Rael has very little screen time in this episode. He wonders if they will be successful in their mission. His wife tells him to go to bed and not worry about it. Luther wonders if Cassian will come through. He knows that Cassian is the wild card. Like in poker, it can be good or bad, it depends on where the chips fall.

As not to reveal anymore, nothing more will be revealed here. It does bring the viewer to the climax and set up Episode 6.

I will give you, my rating. I give Star Wars Andor Season 1 Episode 5, a 10 out 10. It was fun and does an excellent job of being gritty. The episode ends with a cliffhanger, and you do not know what to expect. It shows the gritty nature of recognizance and how war is won on strategy and going in with a plan. The female imperial officer named Dedra Meero in the Imperial Security Bureau knows something is brewing. She told her fellow officer, if I were doing a rebellion, this is how I do it. I would make it seem like random attacks, that most people would not pick up on it. You would not climb the same fence twice. The scenes on Aldhani remind me a lot of Saving Private Ryan. It has that feel of a World War II battle scene and it hits on when they are on Aldhani.
