Hello everyone, welcome to the Mattacritic. This is Matthew Hemenway. This is my rant over ABC suspending Jimmy Kimmel. This is terrible. ABC and Disney are cowards bowing down to an old man of Donald Trump and the Trump Regime. FCC chair Brandon Carr should be investigated by Congress and dealt with. Brandon Carr should face the maximum extent of the law. This is a violation of the first amendment. This is my message to Disney, you do not give the bully what it wants, you stand up to the bully. If you are in an alley and the bully looks likes he/she is going to punch you, you do not let the bully punch you; you punch the bully back and defend yourself. Disney should have told Brandon Carr, take a long walk off a short pier. The video has a clip of Keith Edwards telling people to act. It is the idea of physics; every action has an equal and opposite reaction. The actors who are part of the original Avengers have all spoken up. It goes from RDJ, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, and up to Paul Rudd. I will leave a video in the description if you are watching this video on YouTube. This has caused Disney to be reeling as people have been cancelling their Disney+ and Hulu subscriptions. The actors are becoming their characters in real life and standing up to a corporate authoritarian. Warner Bros and Netflix claim they will not do the same. If you feel the need to cancel your subscriptions, please do what you feel you must. I will keep updating my blog with content that I already reviewed on YouTube already. I may look to review other content and may decide to review independent creators.
According to this on my Substack chat, ABC says they are going to bring Jimmy Kimmel back by September 23, 2025. You can still decide whether to get your subscription back or cancel it if this upsets you because of what happened. It will be in the description of my YouTube short.
